Marriage Enhancement Course

As the tittle suggest, yes, dear and myself went for the course on Saturday. Depending on the service provider, the duration and topics will differ. Ours was not too bad. It was a one day course; and we learnt how to communicate better when dealing with conflicts in a marriage. We also learnt how to know more about our other half, and what to expect in a marriage.

Though halfway through the course I was sleepy, I managed to survive the day! Haha.. :p The course is "free" as it will be subsidied by MCYS, the location was easy to find and speaker was not very interesting but at least she took the effort to make our course memorable! Thanks Jennifer..

Had lunch at Shunfu Mall with dear... My guess that his lunch would be chicken rice! And he really wanted to.. Thomson prata was just across the road, but in the end, we both had duck rice instead~ Haha... It was a very very special lunch date... haha.. :p

At the end of the lesson, we both had a certificate as proved that we were attendees of this course. Well, it was a tired day, but I really enjoyed myself trying to know more about my dear, husband-to-be! :D

Disappointed

Went for my first dress-fitting on Friday, realised that the measurements was wrong, the bubble for my dress not done, and the design for my tube opening was not what I wanted too.

But luckily my shoes fitted the dress, dear got to try out the suits and the MUA issue was settled. Tho the design was not what I fancied, but I still kinda like it.

Just hope that the next fitting will be better.

And we chose the hand bouquet too, but they dont have the blue roses I wanted. So in the end, I chose something that the aunty say complements my dress. It wasn't my top choice, but whatever.. hahahahahaha

Leaping Lizard

Went to collect my wedding shoe this afternoon. Although it looked simple, but it cost me a bomb! But luckily, the masterpiece turned out beautifully. Quality-wise, it should not be a problem. I just hope it will go well with my dress, then at least it will be money well-spent.

I do not intend to customize anymore shoe for the Actual day wedding. Therefore, I will have to think of more designs that can be related to those normal everyday shoe in stores. If everything turns out well, I may consider recycling this pair for the Actual day!

Wedding sorrows

So when you thought that everything was settled and you are happily waiting for your big day, things can never go so smoothly as they seems. Just as I thought I have found the solution to the last item on my mind, things happen.

Managed to engrave our wedding bands at Bits and Pieces (AMK hub outlet). It was not the best choice, but it definitely was worth it. Our engravement was a simple last name of each others' but it really meant alot.

So what happened leh? My MUA told me she can not make it on the time that Jessica had arranged with her. She wanted to do my makeup and hairstyling at the restaurant itself. I definitely do not wish to do it there. So pls GOD, pls stop making fun of me liao. I really am stressed and tired out due to work pile and all these wedding preparations. :(

Trixie is also hunting for her proposal ring to get Anas to buy it and proposed to her... Wish her luck :D

The Wedding Bands

Had our bands chosen at Lee Hwa in the end. We had a hard time choosing the right pair. It was either he liked his but I don't like mine. So in the end, we each bought an individual ring, but it still fits! Haha...

All along I thot my ring size was #10, but this time round all my rings were bought in size #9.

After settling the design, we had to think of what to engrave on it. Hmm, as there is serious limitation for my design, I have to think of words with letters no more than 6? Haha.. seriously, this is a big challenge for me. :( Even if I choose to engrave in chinese, also might have a problem because Lee Hwa does not engrave anything in chinese... But for dear, it is a different story. His ring can be engraved fully around the circumference... 好幸福, 好羡慕哦!

Collected our wedding bands on Sunday, went to racky around Orchard Cineleisure and Cuppage for the shop that does engraving. But don't know why we just can't find them when we need them...

Why oh why ah!

Justice of the Peace (Finale)

Done! We have finally settled the JP for our event... Was supposed to meet up with Dr. Chew yesterday, but he had an emergency case so we postphoned it to today. Even though we reached there 15mins earlier, we still had to wait for him to return from another emergency case today. It wasn't until 30mins later then he returned.

Well, it was a fruitful and worthy wait. He is a very friendly and fatherly man. It could be due to his nature of work and the many years of experience. He began to ask about our age and background and how both of us met, chatting with him was very much enjoyable and he started to explain briefly the procedure on that day.

So the whole process will only take about 5 to 10mins and we have to prepare all the Identification card of both ours as well as our witnesses'.. He will solemnize our event in our chosen language - Chinese and he surprised me when he asked us to prepare our own marriage exchange vows! OMGosh!!! Haha.. Most of the time I will see such request done by the couple and not otherwise. I really am in awe of Dr. Chew...

For any post experience, I will update again soon.. Hahaa!
